What are the visa and passport requirements?

It is your responsibility to obtain any necessary visas required for travel. Check with your travel agent, consular office or the smart traveller website. All passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the duration of your tour.

Do I require travel insurance?

It is a requirement to have a valid travel insurance policy when joining a tour. Please check that your policy includes cancellation in the event that you are forced to cancel your tour prior to departure or leave the tour due to unforeseen circumstances. Do I need vaccinations and medical advice?

We suggest you visit your local GP for advice on vaccinations, medication and travel information prior to travel. Our tours require you to walk to attractions, around towns and get on and off transport. Some hotels may not have a lift so you will need to be able to manage stairs. If you have any concerns, please check with us.

When will my booking be confirmed?

Once your booking form and deposit have been received, we'll send a booking confirmation email. Please do not book flights until you receive this email.

How can I pay?

We accept bank deposits or credit card payments (VISA or MASTERCARD). Payments via credit card can be done securely online (there is a link on the invoice) or by phone.

Can you help book flights?

We are not travel agents so can't book flights for you. However, we can recommend a travel agent who handles our bookings. We can co-ordinate your flights with other tour guests and put you in touch to travel together.

How flexible are the tours?

Our tours have a maximum of 15 guests which allows for flexibility. 

Are you able to cater for dietary restrictions?

We'll do our best to satisfy your dietary requirements. Please ensure you notify us at the time of booking. We suggest priting an information card in the local language, clearly stating foods you should avoid.

Am I expected to pay gratuities?

Gratuities in restaurants are covered by Authentic Global Travel. Tipping your driver and local tour guide is at your discretion. It is common practise on organised tours and we are happy to advise a suitable amount. 

What kind of hotels does Authentic Global Travel use?

We have hand picked hotels in line with our travel philosophy. We look for hotels with character and in keeping with the country we are travelling in. We've chosen a gorgeous riad in Marrakesh, palace hotel in Jojawar and heritage hotel in Jaipur. Our hotels are all clean and comfortable and are 3 - 4 star quality.

Who are the trips for?

Our tours are suitable for all keen travellers from all over the world. It helps if you have an open mind and go with the flow attitude as this is necessary when travelling in a group. We welcome solo travellers and will endevour to help find a room mate if required. We also welcome partners and husbands. Our specialised textile tours include more than just textile experiences.

Can you customise a tour?

We are happy to prepare a tour for a group of friends or family travelling together. Please contact us and we'll work together to create an unforgetable holiday.

Are transfers included in my tour?

Yes if you arrive/depart on the day the tour begins and concludes, transfers are included. For other days, we can arrange transfers with the hotels (for an additional cost).
